Melodies in the air

There’s music everywhere on this earth for those who are willing to pause and listen. Such is the power of music that one song can change your mood and emotions and fill you with enough life to go on. Truly, music transcends all boundaries to touch one’s heart and soul directly.

In keeping with this sentiment, the 4th edition of musical event ‘Surat-e-Kitaab’, titled ‘Do Panchhi Do Tinke’, is being organised by Crazy Minds Entertainment in partnership with Deccan Herald.

This edition will feature a collection of untouched, rarely rendered yet immensely popular gems of Kishore Kumar and Mohammad Rafi by a troupe of 19 budding singers of Bengaluru.

The event is being organised with the intention of attracting music lovers from all over the city, especially those who would like to reminisce about the popular old songs of that era.

The singers, who will be gracing the evening, are Anurag Dwivedi, Ashoka S Kunjoor, Aurobindo K S, Dr Anup Sadhu, H N Manjunatha, Kiran Rao, Dattaprasad Shastri, Deepthi G Rao, Namrata Nataraj, Raghavendra Deshmukh, Rajini Lakshminarayan, Manish Kumar, Rajiv Pradhan, Ranganathan V, Rebecca Singh, Rajesh Makhecha, Srikant Sundareshan, Sugadhan Suja and Vani Puranik. Supporting the singers on live orchestra will be Jai Singh and his Blue Boys Group.
