<p>A workshop on ‘how to draw cartoons’ will also be organised for the students of the engineering colleges at the NITK campus. 50 artworks of students of NITK in different forms of art will be displayed at this exhibition. <br /><br />The exhibition will be inaugurated by NITK Director Prof Sandeep Sancheti. Jeevan, director of Gerebare School of Art, Udupi and renowned cartoonist, Harishchandra Shetty (Harini) will preside.<br /><br />The main focus of the exhibition will be ‘climate change, threat to environment, awareness on global warming through cartoons.’ Harini will be the resource person for the programme. The three-day cartoon exhibition on global change in environment is being organised jointly by Gerebare School of Art, Ambagilu, Udupi and National Institute of Technology - Karnataka Surathkal. About 20 cartoonists from all over Karnataka state will exhibit their works at the cartoon exhibition.<br /><br />Participants<br /><br />Some of the cartoonists who will take part in the exhibition are Panduranga Rao, K R Swamy, V R C Shekar, V Gopal, P G Narayan and Prakash Shetty from Bangalore, Padubidri Mohammed from Prajavani Bangalore, James Vaz from Taranga- Manipal and S V Padmanabha from Kannada Prabha,Bangalore, Sathish Acharya, cartoonist of Midday, Mumbai, Yathi Siddakatte from Deccan Herald, Bangalore, Dr Sathish and Raghupathi (Sringeri), Yogish Shettigar and Gurudutt from Hyderabad, Harini and John chandran from Mangalore, Jeevan and Gopi Hirebettu from udupi. Exhibition will remain open from 25 to 27 February between 10 am to 5pm.</p>
