Good evening readers! Voter turnout has been comparatively low in Bengaluru than others parts of Karnataka in the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections today. The 5 pm data showed that the three constituencies of Bangalore South, North and Central logged just under 50 per cent of votes while the rest of Karnataka recorded more, averaging at 63.90%. A case has been lodged against BJP MP Tejasvi Surya for posting a video on 'X' and soliciting votes on the ground of religion. LS Polls: Bengalureans queue up as voting for Phase 2 begins
Polling in the second phase of the 18th Lok Sabha elections is underway in 88 constituencies across 13 states and union territories. People in Namma Bengaluru were seen thronging polling booths early in the morning and long queues were witnessed as soon as voting started at 7 am.
