Naomi Campbell on the run after assaulting driver

The 39-year-old catwalk queen remains untraceable to the New York Police Department after the episode in Manhattan on Tuesday.

According to the driver, Campbell hit him from the back of the seat and caused his head to hit the steering wheel.She reportedly fled the scene on foot after the incident, leading the driver to call 911.

However, her spokesman Jeff Raymond said that the model is ready to voluntarily cooperate with police."There shouldn't be a rush to the judgment. There is more to the story than meets the eye," he said in a statement.

The police said that that "the driver sustained a small bruise under his eye from when he hit the steering wheel."

This is not the first time Campbell has been involved in aggressive behaviour as in 2000, she assaulted an assistant and in 2006, she attacked her therapist.Her latest acts of acting out aggressively saw her getting convicted of throwing a cell phone at her housekeeper in 2007 and attacking two police officers at Heathrow in 2008.
