<p> Toy-like vehicles are likely to replace reeking autorickshaw carriers for door-to-door garbage collection in the city.<br /><br /></p>.<p>A Hyderabad-based firm, Troops Services Private Limited, has come forward to supply the electric vehicles to the BBMP. <br /><br />These vehicles are hardly two-and-half-feet wide and five-feet-long. It is an answer to the pushcarts and the autorickshaws where mixed waste is dumped.<br /><br />Chairman of the firm Shiva Prakash Reddy said the vehicle is user-friendly and eco-friendly. <br />“It has been designed to reach narrow lanes and is completely covered. Its carrier can be lifted mechanically to unload garbage,” said Reddy.<br /><br />The vehicles are being used in Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Noida. It might be inducted in the BBMP. The firm will give a demonstration before the corporators at the BBMP head office on Friday.<br /></p>
