Mustafi, Perez join Arsenal

Arsenal signed Germany’s 2014 World Cup-winning defender Shkodran Mustafi and Spanish striker Lucas Perez, the Premier League club said on Wednesday.

Mustafi has been at Valencia for the past two seasons while Perez joined Spanish side Deportivo La Coruna in August 2015.

Perez netted 19 goals in all competitions for Deportivo last season including seven in as many games to equal the record of former Brazil striker Bebeto.

On the other side, the North London side also let go of winger Serge Gnabry to Germany’s Werder Bremen for a reported fee of 5 million euros.

Loan exodus from City

Torino completed the signing of goalkeeper Joe Hart from Manchester City on a season-long loan.

In England, Stoke City signed City stri­ker Wilfried Bony on a season-long loan, while Samir Nasri joined Sevilla and Eliaquim Mangala moved to Valencia.

Chelsea land Alonso, Luiz

Chelsea bolstered their defence as they completed a surprise swoop for Fiorentina's left-back Marcos Alonso for a reported £23 million ($30 million) and roped in  Paris Saint-Germain’s central defender David Luiz.

Alonso has agreed a five-year contract as Chelsea manager Antonio Conte turned to the Spaniard after missing out on several other defensive targets. Brazilian Luiz will start his second tenure with the London club, given he clears a mandatory medical ahead of his move.

Hull make double swoop

Hull City made a double swoop for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Ryan Mason and Manchester United striker Will Keane. No financial details were disclosed by the club.

Besiktas sign Inler

Besiktas have signed Swiss midfielder Gokhan Inler from Leicester City. The clubs did not reveal the terms of the contract or financial details.
