Moderate rain in state

Light to moderate rain lashed several parts of the state on Wednesday. It drizzled in parts of Dakshina Kannada district. In the last 24 hours, Sullia received 19 mm of rain while Mangaluru, Puttur and Belthangady taluk recorded 12 mm of rain each.

Kodagu district received an average of 4.71 mm of rainfall. The water level in Harangi reservoir stood at 2,855.52 feet.

Several parts of Uttara Kannada district received light rain. There were reports of moderate rain in Bhatkal, Kumta, Honnavar, Sirsi and Siddapur while it drizzled in Yallapur. In the last 24 hours, the district has recorded a rainfall of 115.9 mm.

Moderate to heavy rains lashed several parts Shivamogga district. The sky was overcast across the district since morning. Thirthahalli, Bhadravathi, Shivamogga, Sagar and Hosanagar received good spell of rain in the morning.

But heavy rains lashed many parts of the district towards the evening. Several roads in Shivamogga, Bhadravathi were waterlogged. Water level in Linganamakki dam rose to 1793.15 feet against the maximum of 1819 feet.
