A day after announcing the launch of Jio, Reliance chairman Mukesh Ambani and son Ananth paid obeisance at Tirumala on Friday.
The decision to allow the Ambanis’ motorcade at the high security Alipiri gate at the foothills after midnight on Thursday raised concerns as the gate road is closed to vehicles between midnight and 3 am.
After the VIP break darshan, temple authorities offered him prasad and a silk robe.
Meanwhile, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Friday released close to 1,05,711 tickets for November and December for the benefit of pilgrims who visit the hill shrine in large numbers.
Before the ensuing Brahmotsavams, a new ‘divya darshanam complex’ on the lines of the ‘Rs 300 darshan complex’ will come up soon, TTD executive officer D Sambasiva Rao said.
