JOIN USMeher (26), a native of Kolkata and Vaibhav (23) from Punjab, both BE students of PES Institute of Technology in the City, were killed on the spot when their car rammed a road divider after the driver lost control near Varasandra on Sunday night.
According to the police, the duo and their friend Pavan, who was grievously injured, were driving towards Thalaghattapura. The car, being driven at break-neck speed toppled after the accident Talaghattapura police have registered a case.
In another mishap, police constable Manjunath (32) attached to Banashankari traffic police station, and his friend Anand (28) were killed on the spot when the bus of a private travel agency rammed their car from the opposite direction near Channenahalli Junction on NICE Road on Sunday night.
In the third incident, an unidentified man, aged around 30, died after a speeding car hit him when he was crossing Hosur Road near KPN Travels at 11:10 pm on Tuesday night.
