Its official: Coke is beverages partner of C'Wealth Games

The company, which on Wednesdaysigned a memorandum of understanding with the organising committee of the Commonwealth Games 2010 in this regard, said it has lined up several activities to promote the game.

"We are privileged to be associated with the Commonwealth Games. Coca-Cola has always been associated with sports. We will continue to look for opportunities to build sports culture in the country," Coca-Cola India president and chief executive officer Atul Singh told reporters here after singing the deal.

As part of the MoU, the company said its products will exclusively be sold to spectators and served to the athletes, team officials and volunteers during the games.
"The exclusive association with Coca-Cola India encompasses products in the carbonated soft drink, water, juice and juice drink categories helping connect and engage with its customers, dealers and employees in one of the most memorable ways," he said.
