“Now I am feeling a sense of completeness. Even though, I have not watched any of Puneeth’s films, I’ve heard a lot about him. I knew that he is a top star in Sandalwood. And Jackie is being directed by Suri, a new generation filmmaker. So, I think this is the perfect project to start off with,” Bhavana says.
She says that she has a meaty role in the movie and she is more than just a glamour doll. “My character is of an innocent homely girl called Laxmi. It is different from the roles I have essayed so far. But in appearance, it resembles my character called Meenakshi in the Tamil film Veyil,” reveals Bhavana.

At the same time, she confesses that she is bored with similar kinds of roles and wants to experiment with her looks and characters. “I don’t want to restrict myself to any particular image. I tried both glamourous and homely characters. I would like to try out all sorts of characters as an actress. With regard to costumes, I don’t have any issues as long as they feel comfortable.”

One of the hard facts about Jackie is that the entire shooting is scheduled for summer. It is said that director Suri wanted a girl who would be able to work tirelessly in hot weather.
“Director Suri made this thing clear while taking my call sheet for this movie. My character has good scope and I don’t mind working a little bit harder to make it more appealing. Moreover, it is my duty to live up to the expectations of the director,” states Bhavana.
