Dissident BJP leaders set March 15 deadline

Disgruntled state BJP leaders who have been expressing their resentment against his style of functioning of party president B S Yeddyurappa, on Monday set March 15 deadline to sort out all issues.

Addressing reporters, BJP state vice-president M B Bhanuprakash and former minister Sogadu Shivanna said Yeddyurappa is yet to fulfil the promise made to party national president Amit Shah on reviewing the appointment of office-bearers and district presidents.

The leaders have objected to Yeddyurappa’s “unilateral decisions” while appointing party office-bearers, district presidents and other functionaries. They have also sought to know why Yeddyurappa is objecting to senior leader K S Eshwarappa’s association with the Sangolli Rayanna Brigade.

The duo were speaking to reporters after attending a meeting of the disgruntled leaders at Legislators’ Home. Eshwarappa, who was spearheading the Brigade activities in order to protest Yeddyurappa’s style of functioning, however, kept off the meeting.
