JOIN USOzone power past AGORC
Ozone FC recorded a comfortable 3-1 win over Accountants General's Office Recreation Club (AGORC) in the BDFA Super Division League at the Bangalore Football Stadium here on Saturday.
Vignesh D netted the opener in the 28th minute and Anto Xavier added another in the 37th minute as Ozone ended the first period with a 2-0 lead.
The second half was no different as Anto struck again in the 74th minute to further increase their advantage.
AGORC, however, pulled one back through Nabeel, who found the back of the net five minutes later.
The outcome, though, will hardly make any difference as the defending champions currently lie fifth in the table with 11 points from seven matches and are out of contention for title. They have two more games in hand.
AGORC, meanwhile, are second from bottom, with four points from seven games.
In the ‘A’ Division, Bangalore United FC defeated Postal Department 3-1.
Ganesh struck in the 5th minute to open the scoring for BUFC and Islon doubled the tally in the 10th minute. Islon then completed his brace in the 50th minute.
Steve Hanson salvaged some pride for Postal with a goal in the 71st minute.
