Firm owner booked for abducting former woman employee

The proprietor of a private firm was arrested in HSR Layout on the charge of abducting his former woman employee.

The arrested Veeresh, the founder of A1 Infotech, is charged with abducting a woman, who worked as a receptionist at his office.

Police said the woman had quit the job four months ago without informing the company. Veeresh saw the woman with her husband Naveen Kumar, shopping at BDA Complex in HSR Layout on March 1 and asked her why she quit her job without giving any reason and why she did not answer his calls.

He reportedly took her to his house on the pretext of discussing the matter. Naveen too followed them and during the discussion, he accused Veeresh of forcibly bringing his wife to his house. Naveen later lodged a complaint of abduction against Veeresh. The latter has also lodged a counter complaint of assault against Naveen, the police added.

Veeresh, who is also the president of an outfit called Karunada Suvarna Vedike, has also produced a movie. Sources say he misbehaved with many women on the pretext of offering them roles in movies. However, the police have not confirmed the allegations.
