Four injured in stone throwing

Murugan, a driver from Anandpura, was returning home in a car when it shoved off a youth while negotiating a curve near Vinayaka temple. A few people gathered at the spot after the youth cried for help and thrashed Murugan, police stated.

A little later, Murugan brought his friends and went to the youth’s house. They started throwing stones at the house. Four persons, who had gathered there sustained injuries. All the injured were rushed to Victoria Hospital and treated as outpatients. The local legislator, who rushed to the spot, pacified the crowd and requested them to not lodge a complaint, police added. However, the situation was said to be tense.
