Rs 3.50-lakh renovation work on Bhuvaneshwari circle launched

 Under this project, a garden will be constructed around the Bhuvaneshwari Circle, informed City Municipal Council President M Prakash.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Friday, aftering setting in motion the renovation project, Prakash said an amount of Rs 3.50 lakh will be spent for the establishment of the garden and also for other renovation purposes.

The boulders which were placed haphazardly around the Bhuvaneshwari Circle will be cleared off and attractive grills will be installed. A beautiful lawn with flowering plants will come up in the area. The entire project will be completed within a period of two months, he explained.

Model city

The municipal president further informed that gardens will come up in various parts of the City, whereever the places are earmarked for them. “All possible steps will be taken for beautification of the City. Measures are being taken to convert Chikkaballapur City into a model City,” he added.

He said the underground drainage system project in the Municipal Layout of the City had already begun. However, the Layout has been facing drinking water shortage and measures are being taken to ease this problem, the president revealed.

The contractors are being pressurised to complete the Jakkalamadagu drinking water project as early as possible, before the onset of monsoon. With the completion of this project, drinking water can be easily stored, Prakash added.

President of the Standing Committee Manjunathachari, City Municipal Council members Mobile Babu, Bhaskar, JD(S) youth leader Ananda Reddy, BJP leader Mukund, etc, were present on the occasion.
