Traffic curbs for BWSSB work

The traffic police will impose restrictions on roads in and around Lashkar Road from Friday as BWSSB will take up a project to lay pipe for drainage facility near Potalappa Garden and L R Junction on Lashkar Hosur Road in Adugodi area.

Accordingly, there will be no restrictions on vehicular movement from Shoolay Circle to Madiwala checkpost on Lashkar Hosur Road.

Vehicular movement from Adugodi Signal to Potalappa Garden via Anepalya Junction will be restricted at Adugodi Junction. Vehicles from Adugodi Junction can move on Mico Link Road, should take a right turn at Mico Bande Signal Junction and reach Anepalya Junction via Bannerghatta Road.

Vehicular movement from Mico Bande Signal Junction on Bannerghatta Road to Adugodi Junction will be restricted at Mico Bande Signal Junction. The vehicles can move on Bannerghatta Road, should take a right turn at Anepalya Junction, can reach Potalappa Garden via Hosur Lashkar Road and ply towards Adugodi Junction.

Vehicular movement from Anepalya Junction  on Bannerghatta Road to Mico Bande Signal Junction will be restricted at Anepalya Junction. The vehicles can ply on Hosur Lashkar Road and Potalappa Garden, should take a right turn at Adugodi Junction and reach Mico Bande Junction via Mico Link Road.

Taking a right turn towards Mico Bande signal Junction at BTS Junction on Bannerghatta Road is banned. The vehicles can ply on Bannerghatta Road, Anepalya, should take a right junction at Anepalya Junction, move on Hosur Lashkar Road, Potalappa Garden and Adugodi Junction.

There will be ban on vehicular parking on both sides of these roads where one-way traffic has been facilitated. BWSSB officials said that they will start the work Saturday onwards and will try to complete the sewage pipeline laying work within a week.

BWSSB executive engineer for waste water management, Koramangala-Chalaghatta Valley, Paramesh K N said, “The old pipelines are defective and hence, we have to replace with 2.5 diametre pipelines. We have set a target to complete the work within a week in the interest of motorists and pedestrians.”

He added that they have postponed the work to Saturday in the wake of President Pranab Mukherjee’s visit to the city on Friday.
