Revisiting masterpieces

Sanchaya Theatre Group will present ‘Tempest’ on April 28, 7.30 pm at Rangashankara, JP Nagar. It is the Kannada adaptation of the play with the same name by William Shakespeare.

The play has been translated to Kannada by Srikanth and has been directed by Joseph John. ‘Tempest’ is believed to be Shakespeare’s last play. His inspiration from nature and the marvelous depiction of its fury, calmness and relating this trait to human turmoil and relationship is reflected in this play .

Though this play has all the qualities to be called as one of Shakespeare’s romantic comedies, the approach in which each character in the play tries to find his own self and personality in this world makes it much more special.

The artistes appearing in this production are Anoosha K Bhat, Arvind Nadig, Anirudh S Bharadwaj, Bhamini Nagaraju, Bharath Raavudi, Chandan etc.
