Engg student killed in accident

A 20-year-old engineering student died, while his friend escaped with injuries after the car they were travelling in collided with a tree in Halasuru on Tuesday morning.

The victim, Abhijith M, was a resident of Kasturinagar. His injured classmate, Vijay (20), is a resident of Indiranagar. Both were sixth semester students at PES College.

According to police, the accident occurred at around 7.30 am when they were on their way to college. When they reached 100 feet road near the 13th main, Vijay, who was driving the car in a rash and negligent manner, lost control of the vehicle and it collided with a tree before coming to a halt. Abhijith sustained grievous head injuries and died on the way to hospital.
