<p>A 25-year-old female student of the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) on the Bangalore University campus was molested by an unidentified man who came on a bike on Nagarabhavi market road in Chandra Layout recently. <br /><br />The incident occurred on April 10. The victim, however, lodged a police complaint on April 29, after discussing the incident with her friends, family and professors, police said.<br /> <br />The victim, along with her friend, had stepped out of their hostel around 8.30 pm for a walk near their college. They then ordered food from an eatery on Nagarabhavi market road, 80 metres from the college gate, her complaint said.<br /><br />While the women were waiting for their order, the man came by, touched her from behind and went away. He was riding single and wearing a helmet. He stopped the bike in a dark corner, waited for a few minutes, came back and caught her hand, the complaint said. <br /><br />He then headed towards a bike servicing garage nearby and was seen standing with a few men. When the man again started coming towards them, the women sensed danger and moved swiftly into their college campus. <br /><br />It said the man was wearing a green T-shirt and brown trousers. He is wheatish in complexion, 5 feet 8 inches tall, of normal build and was clean shaven. <br /><br />Teams formed<br />Chandra Layout police have registered a case, collected CCTV footage from nearby locations and have formed two teams to nab the culprit. <br /><br />The victim said there was a delay in filing the complaint as she was in a state of shock. “We have taken the case seriously. Two teams have been formed. They have clues about the culprit and he will soon be nabbed,” said M N Anucheth, DCP (West).<br />DH News Service<br /></p>
