Former minister hurt in accident

Former minister Revu Naik Belamgi was injured after his car met with an accident near Chinchansur in Aland taluk, on Saturday evening.

He has been admitted to Basaveshwara Hospital in the city. His condition is said to be stable. Aland inspector Somling Kirnalli told DH that Belamgi’s car skidded on the Chinchansur-Bodhana Road and crashed into a roadside wall. The officer said the stretch of road was being repaired.

The former minister was on his way to Belamgi from Kalaburagi in the vehicle driven by his driver Nilesh. No case has been registered.
