Last Updated 27 May 2017, 18:54 IST

The BJP state core committee will be holding a meeting in Bengaluru on Sunday. The meeting attains significance as the K S Eshwarappa-led faction’s list of names for office-bearers may be taken up for consideration.

Sources in the party said that the list was submitted by  Eshwarappa and his supporters to Muralidhara Rao, party national general secretary in charge of Karnataka, during his last visit to Bengaluru. The list has nearly 110 names. Eshwarappa has been arguing that state BJP president B S Yeddyurappa has taken unilateral decisions while appointing the office-bearers.

Yeddyurappa, Eshwarappa, union ministers D V Sadananda Gowda and Ananth Kumar, among others, are scheduled to participate. Besides the core committee, the BJP Yuva Morcha and Raitha Morcha too have their meetings in Bengaluru on Sunday.

Nearly 1,000 youths are expected to participate in the day-long Yuva Samparka

Abhiyan organised by Yuva Morcha President Pratap Simha.
