Aparna Yadav's 'gaushala' got 86 % grant during Akhilesh's regime
The 'Gaushala' run by Aparna Yadav, who is the wife of former UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav's step brother Prateek, pocketed around 86 % of the total grant given by Uttar Pradesh 'Goseva Ayog' to cow protection organisations during the previous Samajwadi Party (SP) regime.
 
An RTI query has revealed that Aparna Yadav’s Jeev Ashraya NGO, which runs the 'Kanha Upwan Goshal', was given 86.4 % of the total grant by the Commission between 2012-2017.
 
This fact has emerged from the information given by Ayog’s PIO  Sanjay Yadav to RTI activist Nutan Thakur.

According to the RTI revelation between five years from 2012 to 2017, the Ayog gave a total grant of Rs. 9.66 crore. Aparna's NGO received Rs.8.35 crores.
 
During financial years 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2014-15, Jeev Ashraya was the only NGO to be given this grant to the tune of Rs. 50 lakh,1.25 crore and 1.41 crore respectively.
