The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is startled by the claim of a 75-year-old former MLA who has sought medical reimbursement for his ‘9-year-old son’ suffering from ill health.

The CID found out that the former MLA submitted bills from different hospitals in support of the claim. It suspects the bills are fake. CID sleuths were puzzled by the claim that the 75-year-old former MLA had a nine-year-old son.

They are also finding out who are eligible to claim medical reimbursement. CID sources said they had sought information from the government as to whether former MLAs having more than one wife could claim medical reimbursement for all their family members.
