Cruise vessel calls at M'lore port

As many as 77  passengers out of 83 on board the vessel opted for ground tour and visited cashew factories, St Aloysius Chapel, Kadri Temple and City shopping at malls and returned to the vessel and sailed out.

According to a press release, this luxury cruise vessel with majority of tourists from USA with the age group of 55-75 called at Mangalore from Cochin and the next port of call will be Goa. The captain of the vessel Reidulf Maalen was pleased with the infrastructure available at the Port for the smooth handling of cruise vessels and  stated that the passengers have enjoyed the scenic beauty of Mangalore and the hospitality extended to them during their short visit.      
 
NMPT Chairman P Tamilvanan said two more cruise vessels are expected to call at the Port on April 14 (Aid Cara) with 1,260 passengers and 373 crew and MV Nautica on April 25.
