Chattisgarh massacre flayed

Last Updated 07 April 2010, 17:05 IST

Staging a protest on Wednesday at General Thimmaiah circle, ABVP members called it as the most heinous crime meted out against the defence forces of the nation.
They said that society as a whole must oppose and condemn this incident as never before were soldiers killed in this large number at a time in the history of Independent India by anti-national and separatist groups.

They said that for the last one decade, the naxalites and anti-national elements have been targeting our soldiers who have been working selflessly for the security of the nation. It is ironical that some so called intellectuals living in this country are justifying and supporting the naxalites.

They demanded the Central Home Ministry to stop trying to have dialogues with the naxalites and resort to armed means to root out naxalism from Indian soil.
ABVP members took out a procession and formed human chain at General Thimmaiah circle. They burnt down the flag of naxalites. Later, the procession proceeded to Deputy Commissioner’s office where the protesters handed over a letter to Home Minister through the DC. ABVP District convener Sunil Kumar, Secretary Rajesh, leaders Shivaraj, Ravikanth and others were present.
