Siblings are Blessings

‘Radha, you are back from school so late! What happened?" her mother demanded.  "Nothing, I just tried to spend as much time as I could away from home!’

"Why?" Her mother sounded shocked. Radha didn't reply. She heard her baby brother Rahul crying in the bedroom. "He is such a nuisance! I have lived for 11 years with you and you give a 2 month old baby more attention than me? It is almost like you don't love me anymore! I hate that baby brat, he has ruined my life!" Radha screamed, her eyes flashing with annoyance.

"What are you saying, Radha? Don't you realize how lucky you are to have a sibling at all? Siblings are nothing but a blessing. I will always love you and you know that! You got eleven years of attention - at least give him one year!" replied Radha's mother as she walked into the bedroom with Radha behind her.  "He has been crying the whole day. I don't know what to do!" Her mother then rushed out of the room in a panic.

Radha thought about her mother's words. "Some crying blessing!" she muttered. She looked around to check if anyone was looking. Then she gently picked up the crying baby. As soon as Radha picked Rahul up, he stopped crying! His eyes twinkled as he looked up at his big sister. Suddenly a new bond had developed between the brother and sister. Tears rolled down Radha's cheeks. "What was I thinking? I'm so sorry Rahul! You are my biggest blessing!"

Sisters

When you are all alone
And feeling down
You need someone
To vanish your frown.

She’ll make you laugh
When you want to cry,
You’ll have to tell her the -----
Because she will know if you lie.

She will always be by your side
No matter what you do.
Your sister is more than just family
She is a friend through and through.

Life is a journey

Life is short,
Don't ever waste it.
Life is sweet,
Take time to taste it.

Take the right path.
Life is entertaining,
Don't be afraid to laugh.

Life has its good times,
Make them last.
Life has its bad times,
Put them in the past.

Life is a chance,
Make sure you take it,
But most importantly
Life is what you make it!!
