It is easy to assume that everything you do is urgent and important. It is not. Prioritise your work and organise your time. Focus on the important. And in the list of ‘Important’ keep your personal life.

 Don’t think about work over breakfast, lunch, dinner, at the movies, while watching television, etc. Instead, create time to think about work, and then block work out for the balance of the day.

 Work with a team. Share your work. If you are working more than 8 hours a day, you know there’s enough to go around.

 Say ‘No’ when you have work intruding into your personal life. Measure the quality of your work, not the quantity.

Reduce clutter. Stop putting down your To-Do list in a scribble pad, diary, in your PDA, your phone, computer, etc. Ensure you do not have blobs of work wherever you look. Instead, centralise your To-Do list so that you can prioritise it better.
