Man objects to flouting one-way rule, killed

A petty argument resulted in the murder of a youth in Hombegowdanagar on Sunday.

The deceased was Karthik, a resident of 9th Cross, Hombegowdanagar. The police arrested Chetan, also a resident of Hombegowdanagar, during the wee hours of Monday.

According to the police, the murder took place near 7th Cross, Hombegowdanagar around 10 pm.

Chetan was riding his bike on the wrong side on a one-way road, to which Karthik objected. The duo picked fight over the issue. Chetan repeatedly stabbed Karthik and fled from the scene, said the police.

A few local residents shifted Karthik to a nearby hospital, where he succubmed later.

Based on a complaint, the police registered a case and swung into action. With the help of inputs by local residents, the police picked up Chetan from his house and arrested him.
