Apex court to hear Reddy's mining case

The Supreme Court appointed-committee headed by a top official of the Survey of India has submitted its interim report after surveying one of the mines. M/S Obalapuram Mining Company, owned by Reddy brothers, has prayed the apex court to lift the ban imposed on mining of iron ore.

While talking about the 68.50 hectare lease area allotted to M/S Obalapuram Mining Company, the report said, “Considering point no 1 at correct position, the observed traverse (polygon) was superimposed on the sketch traverse (polygon), it is found that observed traverse differs by about 100 to 150 m towards western side.”
