The event drew crowd close to 16,000 people. According to the Karnataka Wine Board, nearly 900 cases of wine were sold in two days. Each case contains 12 bottles of 750 ml of wine.

Business at this year’s wine festival is considerably more  compared to the festival held last year at Lal Bagh. The festival last year was restricted to local brands alone, which were priced lower than the foreign brands.

Last year only three brands were present at the festival. However, this time 10 major brands were displayed and the turnover was huge, said B N Nanjundaiah, a member of the Wine Board.

The Board organised the first international festival in collaboration with Cosmic Meltdown, a private event management company.
