<p>The two members A P Ranganath and G H Madaiah met Governor H R Bhardwaj on Tuesday and urged him to send the V-C on leave till the inquiry is complete. The Governor had recently constituted an inquiry committee headed by retired Judge of the Patna High Court to probe complaints made by the V-C against the registrars of the varsity. The syndicate members have now requested the Governor to include their complaints against Prabhu Dev too in the terms of reference of the inquiry.<br /><br />Syndicate member, A P Ranganath, confirmed it saying: “We have submitted our representation, which includes complaints that we have made against the V-C previously. The Governor’s response was positive and he has assured us that financial mismanagement by the V-C will be included in the inquiry.”<br /><br />Some of the allegations made by the two syndicate members against the V-C include: outsourcing of evaluation of answer scripts at the cost of more than Rs 50 lakh, tender irregularities in awarding maintenance work of the varsity, appointment of a nodal agency for distance education and causing monetary loss to the varsity with his actions.</p>
