<div align="justify">Many areas in Bengaluru’s western and northern parts plunged into darkness due to power cuts and transmission failure after heavy rain.<br /><br />Two electricity poles collapsed at Wilson Garden and Manorayanapalya affecting power supply. There was no power in Jayanagar, Vijayanagar, Hebbal, Puttenahalli, RR Nagar, Banashankari, Anandreddy Layout, IISc and surrounding areas.<br /><br />Bescom offices were flooded with calls over complaints on power cut, collapse of electric poles and transmission issues. These offices received 753 calls in just three hours between 6 pm and 9 pm.<br /><br />There were 222 complaints from Bengaluru west, followed by 177 (north), 148 (south) and 138 complaints from Bengaluru east.</div>
