Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali released a song from his upcoming flick Padmavati on Wednesday.

Deepika in her majestic traditional 'poshak' (outfit) has performed over 66 twirls for the song titled Ghoomar.

The song, composed by Bhansali, is sung by Shreya Ghoshal and choreographed by Kruti Mahesh Midya.

The makers of Padmavati tweeted: “From graceful expressions to rhythmic spins, here are some interesting Ghoomar facts. #GhoomarOutTomorrow.”

They also shared a picture explaining the dance form. Ghoomar is a Rajputana folk dance form performed by Rajput women with moments involving twirling in circles.

Deepika has been trained by renowned Ghoomar expert Jyoti D Tommaar of Gangaur Ghoomar Dance Academy.

The authentic Ghoomar School was founded by the late Geverdan Kumariji of Santrampur (former princess of Kishangarh, Rajasthan).

The film is based on legendary Rajput queen Rani Padmini and has three lead characters: Padmavati (Deepika Padukone), Maharawal Ratan Singh (Shahid Kapoor) and Sultan Alauddin Khilji (Ranveer Singh).

The cast also includes Aditi Rao Hydari, Jim Sarbh and Raza Murad. The movie is set to hit the screens on December 1.
