BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa said the party will come to power in Karnataka definitely.

He was speaking at the Navakarnataka Parivartana Samavesha organised at Sullia on Friday.

Vehemently opposing the state government for observing Tipu Jayanti, he called the government's act absurd. "Observing Tipu Jayanti is the same as observing Hitler Jayanti," he criticised.

Charging that organisations such as SDPI and PFI are carrying out extremist activities, he said that the District In-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai is converting the district into a "mini Pakistan."

Hitting out at Congress state in-charge K C Venugopal, Yeddyurappa called him a "rapist" and said he should not be allowed to enter the district.

Criticising AICC vice president's Rahul Gandhi's statement on demonetisation and GST, Yeddyurappa said the bullets of note ban and GST have entered the stomach of Congress leaders who have accumulated illegal money.

Yeddyurappa also condemned Siddaramaiah for entering Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala after consuming non-veg food. "The Chief Minister has pushed the state into debt. He will not even hesitate to mortgage Vidhana Soudha," he criticised.

He predicted the end of the Congress in the state.

Union Minister DV Sadananda Gowda, MPs Shobha Karandlaje and Nalin Kumar took part in the convention.
