Kids' day out on Children's Day

The Jilla Shishu Kalyana Samsthe, the Inner Wheel, the Lions Club and the Lioness Club celebrated Children's Day in Madikeri on Tuesday.

The kids danced and sang songs on the occasion.

Inaugurating the programme, student Akash reminded that the birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru is being observed as Children's day in India. The students should contribute to the nation building in the future, he added.

"Students get a platform to showcase their talent through such programmes," Jilla Shishu Kalyana Samsthe director Vasanthi Ponnappa.
