9 months on, cops stumble on lead in Koramangala pub case

The Bengaluru traffic police have released CCTV footage of three men, whom they suspect may be involved in the  accidental death of a 28-year-old man in Hulimavu nine months ago.

The victim, Dinky Mathew, was found dead on the road in Jnanappanahalli near Hulimavu in the early  hours of February 15.

Investigation revealed that the victim was with two women friends at a pub in Koramangala on February 14 to celebrate Valentine's Day.  They had  left the bar at 1 am. Mathew
had parked his bike at the women's PG and the three had taken a cab to the pub, the police said.

Vicky, Mathew's brother, suspects that it was not an accidental death. He told the police that he suspected the two women's role in Mathew's death.

The police, who scrutinised the CCTV footage retrieved from the pub, learnt that the women knew three other men who were present in the bar on the  night of the incident.

During questioning, the women told the police they had met the three men on  their previous visits to the bar, but did not know their details  or contact numbers.  The police are now on the hunt for the three suspects.
