It has been a year of many landmark occasions for Arjun Maini and the Bengaluru lad took another step towards his quest of rising to the  pinnacle of motorsport.

Arjun, who drove for Jenzer Motorsport in GP3, confirmed he had begun testing with two different Formula2 teams in a move that could soon see him facing a more challenging field.

After having a run out with Trident on day 1, Arjun will complete his post-season testing with Russian Time on day two and three at Abu Dhabi.

"It will be  intriguing to challenge myself in what is currently amongst the best cars in the F2 series. The ability to drive a car that has delivered some great results this season is an exciting thought and I look forward to the two remaining days of testing," said Arjun.

In 2017, soon after signing with the Haas F1 team as a development driver, Arjun became the first Indian to win a GP3 race. The 19-year-old followed it up with another podium finish in Race 1 at the season-ending Grand Prix in Yas Marina, Abu Dhabi, to end ninth in the overall standings.
