A 34-year-old driver of a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) bus was crushed to death by a lorry near Thirumagondanahalli on Hosur Main Road around 6.15 pm on Wednesday, police said.
Shivakumar was driving to Tamil Nadu when the bus broke down around 5.30 am. He arranged another bus for the passengers and stepped out, too.
He then went to the rear side of the bus for an inspection. That's when the lorry, driven in a rash and negligent manner, rear-ended the bus and crushed him to death.
Shivakumar died instantly.
Lorry driver injured, too
Passersby took Shivakumar to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
The lorry driver was also injured in the accident and was admitted to hospital.
He is said to be out of danger.
The Surya Nagar police have registered a case.
