<p align="justify">The Karnataka High Court on Friday issued notices to the state government, Anti-Corruption Bureau and Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force in a matter regarding the uploading of first information reports.</p>.<p align="justify" class="bodytext">A division bench of acting Chief Justice H G Ramesh and Justice P S Dinesh Kumar was hearing a public interest litigation, seeking uploading of all the FIRs lodged in police stations on their official websites within 24 hours of the report being filed.</p>.<p align="justify" class="bodytext">According to the petitioner, the Supreme Court had passed a judgement in 2016, directing the central and state governments to upload copies of FIRs on their websites within 24 hours.</p>.<p align="justify" class="bodytext">The petition stated that this order has been complied with by the Karnataka Police department. However, the Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force have not complied with this direction and are thereby violating the law of the land, the petitioner stated.</p>.<p align="justify" class="bodytext">The petitioner stated that he had approached the respective officials and was assured of action, but nothing was done in this regard.</p>.<p align="justify" class="bodytext"> The matter was adjourned to December 12.</p>
