Addiction-free India campaign from Brahmakumaris

Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya will organise a new campaign towards addiction free India, said Vishwavidyalaya Media Head B K Karunakara.

Addressing media persons at Vishwa Shanti Mandira in Mangauru on Tuesday, he said that seminars will be organised on topics related to addiction in various parts of the nation, to enlighten the youth on the ill-effects of drugs, alcohol and smoking. Counselling will also be provided to students.

Lamenting that money making has been portrayed as the only motto of life, he said that the increase in depression cases in the professional fields show that spiritual enlightenment is also important. The Vishwavidyalaya has been providing spiritual education in 140 countries.

Karunakara called upon people to devote 15 minutes daily for spiritual practices. The Headquarters of Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya on Mount Abu is the resource center for spiritual achievements through Rajayoga and meditation, he said and opined that spirituality should be made part of our education system.
