Jan 31 deadline to have water meters

Giving January 31 as the deadline to install meters for water connections of all consumers, the Karnataka Urban Water Supply & Drainage Board (KUWSDB) has stated that Rs 219 monthly bill, that is 25% more than the minimum bill of Rs 175, will be issued for meter-less connections from February 1.

It is mandatory for all consumers to install meters for their water connections. Water meter purchase bill and warranty card should be submitted to the KUWSDB office before January 31.

Those who fail to install water meters, will be charged with Rs 219 monthly bill, said a press release issued by the KUWSDB, adding that individual notices would not be served to consumers having meter-less water connections.
