A party with friends cost a 33-year-old man his life. The man was murdered and his body was found in a car at Kondalli near Magadi, on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Puttaraju, a resident of Ramenahalli. He carried out plaster of Paris (POP) works in an office in Bengaluru.

According to the police, the victim received a call from his friends inviting him to a party on Monday night. He went to meet them and had since gone missing. Puttaraju's family was unable to reach him as his mobile was switched off.

In a dramatic turn of events, the victim's brother, Lingaraju, received a call on Tuesday from a person named Srinivas. The caller informed Lingaraju that 'they' had killed Puttaraju and could find his body in a Swift car near Kondalli. Lingaraju reached the spot mentioned and found his brother's body in the rear seat of the car, according to the police.

Lingaraju approached the police only after finding the body.

Police added that the family members of the deceased suspect his friends, Srinivas and Nagesh, killed Puttaraju as there were frequent fights between them.

Magadi police visited the spot and are investigating the case. Efforts are on to track down the killers.
