The officials of the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday took stock of the government machinery's preparedness for the upcoming Assembly elections.
The officials, led by Deputy Election Commissioner Umesh Sinha, held meetings with the representatives of parties, local election authorities and government officials headed by chief secretary Ratna Prabha and DG & IGP Neelamani Raju at the Vikas Soudha.
They later interacted with deputy commissioners and superintendents of police of districts via video conferencing.
Sources said the officials informed the ECI team that they would complete the election related works by February.
