The body of TV journalist Mounesh Potharaj, who died in an accident near Hangal, was transported to the morgue in a City Municipal Council garbage tractor on Sunday.
This created an uproar in the town.
The people of Hangal town expressed their anger against the police who shifted the body in a garbage tractor.
Mounesh had died when his bike crashed against a tree.
