Hassan youths get int'l award for patriotic video

A musical video 'Tum Jahan Bi Raho', created by Hassan youths, has bagged the best musical video award at the international film festival, said director C S Jayaprakash.

Addressing media here on Tuesday, Jayaprakash said, "80% of the video has been filmed in Hassan. The video highlights patriotism and has been dedicated to the Army soldiers and farmers."

The video was released on October 2, 2017, as part of Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti. Film artiste B S Desai launched the video. Rotary Club, Rotaract Club of Hoysala and Anand Audio Company were instrumental in bringing out the video, he said.

The award was announced during the 6th Mumbai International Film Festival at a programme held on December 10, 2017, he said.

The music and lyrics were created by Shakeel Ahmed. Photography is by S Suhas, a compilation by art director Prashant Acharya. Anoop and Nischal have acted as main characters, Jayaprakash said.
