Veteran multingual actor Krishnakumari passed away at her residence in the city on Wednesday morning. She was 85. Krishnakumari was suffering from blood cancer. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law.
In Kannada, she had acted with thespian Rajkumar in Bhakta Kanakadasa, Ashasundari and Swarna Gowri, besides other films. She had appeared with most of the popular heroes of her time such as N T Rama Rao, Akkineni Nageshwar Rao, Gemini Ganeshan and others. She was the sister of actor Sowcar Janaki.
