A local court here on Monday rejected the B-report submitted by the CID with regard to the blackmail case filed against Ramachandrapur Mutt seer Raghaveshwara Bharati.
The court adjourned the hearing to February 1. It directed the petitioner in the case, Chandrashekhar Hegde, to submit a sworn affidavit to the court on that day.
Hegde's had filed a complaint with the Honnavar police, saying that Diwakar Shastri, Premalatha Diwakar and C M N Shastri had resorted to blackmail tactics against the seer.
The police had arrested Shastri and Premalatha in the case. They filed the B-report as there was no evidence against them.
