<p class="title">BJP party functionaries expressed their annoyance with the Mangaluru Mahanagara Palike (MMP) which removed the flex banners the party had put in the city for the Jana Suraksha Yatra, in Mangaluru on Tuesday. </p>.<p class="bodytext">The MMP commissioner was acting on the orders of the Deputy Commissioner Sasikumar Senthil's notice to evict all banners in the city in a bid to regulate the putting of banners and buntings. </p>.<p class="bodytext">BJP workers tried to block MMP personnel from removing the banners that had been put up near Balmata and BJP district spokesman Monappa Bhandary accused the MMP of conspiring to sabotage the success of the Jana Suraksha Yatra. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Bhandary said that the Palike had made no move to remove the banners when the Congress held a convention in the city recently.</p>.<p class="bodytext">"They remained silent then; but the district administration is removing banners of the Jana Suraksha Yatra. Where has the sudden inspiration come from?" he asked. <br /><br />"There was a tableaux on the Siddaramaiah-led government supporting illegal cow smuggling in the yatra that set out from Madikeri on March 3. As the procession entered Sullia (Dakshina Kannada district), it was confiscated. The district in-charge minister is anxious that people will understand the reality behind the Jana Suraksha Yatra. Which is why he has asked officials to take action," Bhandary added. </p>
