The 17-year-old actress stars in an independent remake of the French film alongside Moore and insists the movie will be “edgy”. “We are good friends so I think it will be fun to work with someone you like a lot. It makes it easier. I’m really looking forward to working with her and the French director,” Cyrus said.

The 17-year-old star will play the daughter of Moore in the movie, which tells the story of a woman going through a mid-life crisis. “I think it’s a really cool story. We are shooting it independently so we can do it with exactly the edginess we want.”

Cyrus, who shot to fame after portraying a teen star in Hannah Montana, admits she now wants to focus on acting and stay away from her singing career. “I would like to continue acting, that’s what I really love. Music is a huge part of my life but acting is definitely something that I’m really looking forward to getting more involved in,” she said.
